I have finished off the tower (last night, last thing) and the rendering problem is still there so coming up is some pictures edge free and shadow enabled to make up for it.

edit: Ok so Kerky and Imageshack have both failed on my now >.< I have managed to salvage 1 picture though so -sigh- enjoy ='(

edit 2: Salvaged the second pic. And got the 1st

So my monthly post on this thread! I don't have much to add except how impressed I am by everyone's huge commitment to design and model some truly fantastic buildings, and I mean that, some of those designs are really cool.

When can we expect the next round of composited renders with all the current buildings??? Surely this city is starting to look pretty dense in parts. I miss those renders we had of Port Voyage (Community city 1.0) where we had the whole city in views. I understand thats not feasible, but I think we'd all be interested to know how the buildings look together in relation to one another.

Anyway I'm outta here...

you couldn't be any more correct on this point pingyao, we really need some qualitative renders now. i really apologize for all the delays with my monthly updates but at the moment i'm not able to do my projects and the huge amount of renders for this project at the same time. it may sound egoistic but i put my own stuff first because sooner or later some of them will be submitted to the community city and contribute to it.
but i promise to do a good rendering update for the 1st anniversary of this project in January - yes it's been almost a year since we started this project.

also i want to say that everyone should be free to do own renders of this project. i've got the backup files of all plots which i could share with everyone who's seriously interested in doing some renders.

sure, we just need to find a way to submit large files. unfortunately i can't seem to find a file sharing page which is providing this. usually i use the instant messanger ICQ to submit these files. do you have an account there, too? if not, it's avaliable for free. just contact me via PM

Thanks Mike and which areas are out of proportion do you think? And I love the Commie Blocks, might make some more of the British version I feel, Council Estates, practically our equivilent.

I think its an oval shaped tower.. but in the middle of it the floors are turning? like the the twins in Mississauga ?
but i can completely be wrong

Nope.. I think the tower is vertical...
And so the Core...
The thing is that there is an angle on that render... I mean it's not totally plane..
