Oh Lawdy we got rain down here in El Paso! .25 inches at the airport, most since August and heading straight towards the Mississippi river valley!

Flakes may fly in the Deep South!!

Probably not enough to shovel but may catch a few folks off guard.

I saw on TWC yesterday where New Mexico picked up quite a bit of the "white stuff" as well, especially in the North.

A bit of Gulf moisture and a sneaky cutoff low over West Texas and we're good to go!

Southeast Georgia got a good soaking this morning, much more than the models predicted yesterday, too. Over one and half inches of rain fell in Savannah!

Nice!

We're getting one storm after the other here so some of that energy is bound to come your way and relieve the drought even more!

We've got another storm rolling though late Monday that might knock down a little more drought in the panhandle and Oklahoma. 8-16 inches of snow forecasted in the mountains and the plains...

-edit: looks like this one could be a major storm dropping serious snow along I-40

Between 12 and 15 inches of snow is expected to fall on portions of the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles.

^ Once again it's the southern plains that bear the brunt of the extreme weather. Wasn't it just a few month's ago they were 115+ degrees!? The saying wait 5 minutes and the weather will change is used a lot by people about their weather, but this region takes it to a whole new meaning. If you want to see extreme heat and a blizzard all in the same year nearly every year, go there!
