Yeah plus the temps are still too high for anything but a slushfest. And if they get a warm spell there could be serious floods.

I just noticed that the ECMWF(European Forecast Model) was fairly accurate on the projected track of Superstorm Sandy from origin to landfall. I think the technology of forecasting a tropical system many days in advance, has definitely come a long way and it only improve in the future.

What I'm afraid of, though, is global warming/climate change, whatever, will make this a more frequent type of event?

Some video footage of the tornado that hit Hattiesburg, Mississippi on February, 10. The tornado itself was estimated to be an EF4.
