breakdown.
Quote:
International Airlines Group (IAG) has secured firm orders and options for up to 220 Airbus A320 family shorthaul aircraft - up to 120 of these for its subsidiary Vueling. The new aircraft will enable the Barcelona-based airline to replace some of its existing A320 fleet and expand its business.

The Vueling agreement comprises 62 firm orders - 30 A320ceo and 32 A320neo - plus 58 options. The firm orders will be delivered to Vueling between 2015 and 2020.

In addition, IAG has secured 100 A320neo options which could be used for any of the airlines in the Group - British Airways, Iberia or Vueling - for aircraft replacement requirements.
AIG press release:
http://www.iairgroup.com/phoenix.zht...786&highlight=

firm (*) :
30x A320ceo: Vueling
32x A320neo: Vueling
(*) Firm order, pending shareholders approval

options:
58x A320: Vueling
100x A320neo: British Airways, Iberia or Vueling

So basically this is mainly a Vueling order for now. It's highly likely that Vueling will take over a significant share of the European flights from Iberia.

A320 and A320 CEO (Current Engine Option) mean the same thing, the original version of the A320.

The NEO - New Engine Option will have new engines and other improvements meaning it will burn 15% less fuel than the current A320.

First delivery is in 2 years with almost 2200 sold so far.

The plane will look festive in full livery if the tail is any kind of indicator.

I'll second that even though we all know the landing gear is photo shopped.

It's not shopped, it's just not completely visible behind the concrete wall.

Airbus’ new U.S. A320 Family final assembly facility is ready to take shape

Quote:
Approximately 85 per cent of the more than 2,100 pilings of the final assembly line hangar and service building at the new Brookley Aeroplex site have been driven into the earth, providing a foundation that ensures the buildings and hangars will be strong and resistant – capable of withstanding conditions that include hurricane-strength winds. Following the completion of this activity, steelwork is planned to begin next month – during which the buildings’ frame, skin and roof will be constructed.

This plane is either at Hamburg or Toulouse. I think it is at Hamburg jugging by the background. It hasn't left Europe.

Delta has order 30 classic A321s.
http://news.delta.com/index.php?s=43&item=2095

They will join the fleet in 2016 and 2017. So Airbus will keep producing the ceo well after the neo is introduced.
