According to media reports the negotiations with Wizz Air took place well into last night.

Boeing had a very competitive offer with the high density 737 MAX 200. As the whole order will be for the A321 Wizz Air clearly chose the larger plane with even more seats.

This commitment made Airbus the winner of the Paris order race with 90 more orders and commitments then Boeing at the air show. They were lucky that Wizz Air already made their decision at the show and not later as they had planned.

Thanks for the news.

So Airbus sold more units. So who had the higher sales value in dollars since Boeing managed to get some wide bodies in at the end?

There are still enough bumps in the road for a A380neo launch and an large EK A350 order.
I'm also thinking that one of the reasons Emirates cancelled the order is to use the reorder as a leverage to push Airbus to launch the a380neo. Airbus is doing great in terms of sale with the a350 but still, they don't want to lose an order of up to 100 a350s.

Anyway, looking forward to the Dubai Air Show. I hope it's more exciting than this Paris Air Show, especially for widebodies.

There's around 3 more days to go, so airlines still have time to rack up new orders and commitments. And I hope even more carriers will make their orders soon... when's the Dubai Air Show btw? And which aircraft type was the most ordered so far in the Paris Air Show?

The business part of the air show has ended, from tomorrow it's open for the general public. There won't be any more announcements, new orders could still be announced of course, but not from the air show.

Looking back there were only 2 real surprises at the Air Show, Garuda's big ambitions by showing their intention to buy 60 wide-bodies and large 747-8F MoU by Volga Dnepr. No real surprises with any of the A320 and 737 orders.

The Dubai Airshow is from 8 to 12 November.

Quick questions on the proposed A320F project: what would be its selling price, what would be its target market/s, and what specifications are we looking at for that freighter aircraft (e.g. Range, fuel capacity, engine options, etc.)? And, will it have the new winglets that are currently deployed on the A320NEO and A321NEO?

Airbus signs deals for 120 more A320neo aircraft.

Airbus has signed agreements for more than 120 single-aisle A320neo Family aircraft on the third day of the Paris Show, when it also sold 20% of its stake in Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) to ST Aerospace.

Norwegian has revealed that their leasing company is about to sign their first lease deal for 12 of the 100 A320neo's they have on order to an undisclosed airline.

Quote:
Arctic Aviation Assets to lease 12 A320neo to unknown client

Arctic Aviation Assets Ltd (AAA), Norwegian Air Shuttle's wholly-owned leasing subsidiary, says it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to lease twelve A320neo aircraft to an undisclosed airline. The jets will be delivered from 2016 through to 2018 it said in an Oslo stock exchange filing.
http://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/ne...unknown-client

It was already rumored that Norwegian only ordered the neo to lease them out to other airlines. This is the first real indication that we might never see the neo in Norwegian's own fleet. They will still have 88 more on order to lease out, they got all their options open. Another rumor was that they will use the A320s for a new airline. set up independently from Norwegian.

So, will this be reality or just remain a computer rendering from Airbus press release when they signed the order?
