Airports of Finland: passenger statistics 2013

Helsinki: 15 279 043, up 2.8% from 2012. First time over 15 million. Almost all other Finnish airports have declining figures though.

--- 25 x A380

Boeing deliveries 2013
648 aircraft delivered

Airbus orders 2013
1619 gross orders (1503 net orders)
--- 377 x A320ceo (1168 net orders, A320 total)
--- 876 x A320neo
--- 77 x A330 (69 net orders)

--- 50 x A380 (42 net orders)

Boeing orders 2013
1531 gross orders (1355 net orders)
--- 1208 x 737 (1046 net orders)
--- 2 x 767 (2 net orders)
--- 183 x 787 (182 net orders)
--- 121 x 777 (113 net orders)
--- 17 x 747 (12 net orders)

Source Airbus

Source Boeing
Airbus ended the year with 148 more orders then Boeing.

Narrow bodies:
Airbus: 1168 orders
Boeing: 1046 orders

Wide bodies:
Airbus: 341 orders
Boeing: 309 orders

Airbus beat Boeing on both fronts, although it's pretty close and both manufactures had a very strong order year.

Trolling bigtime...

Pilot tells passengers he’s about to try something

[TheOnion.com]
SAN FRANCISCO—Midway through American Airlines flight 1544’s journey from San Francisco to Dallas Monday, pilot Mark Dams asked passengers to please remain seated and fasten their seat belts for a minute while he tries something real quick. “Attention passengers, bear with me for a moment; I just want to try a little something here,” Dams announced over the plane’s intercom, adding that he “heard about another pilot doing this once” and wants to see if it actually works. “Should only take a few seconds. I just want to see what happens.” At press time, Dams reportedly took a breath and muttered to himself, “Okay, here goes.”

What exactly am I looking at? Under which criteria have the airports been selected or is it random?

Secondly, does your database have figures for Pakistani airports (KHI, LHE, ISB)?

You are looking at passenger figures for 2013, so far not all the airports released their statistics. And as i have said my statistics are mostly based on monthly numbers, that also mean a lot of airports are missing so far.
Yes i have some of them in my database, but it is hard to get statistics on them. Do you know a website to get them?

Anyway here is another update:

OK, thanks. And no, I don't haev any source. Our own Civil Aviation is a bit lazy and the last figures are from 2007. I was wondering if some other int'l organization had the figures.

Bubbalo, for São Paulo state airports you go to DAESP, right? It seems they released today the final figures for 2013 but the numbers are different from your table.

Coincidentally, they released today. We need to find out data for Rio Grande do Sul's airports. As in São Paulo, they're managed by the state government. Only Porto Alegre, Pelotas and Uruguaiana are on Infraero.

They've only counted with the regional NHT Airlines (now Brava), but Azul is expanding a lot there. Pelotas, for instance, was on 9,000 (2012) and went to 37,000 (2013).

Caxias do Sul (100 km north of Porto Alegre, over the mountains) is the biggest one. It's probably above 300,000 passengers/year. Quite impressive, as all flights go to São Paulo as Porto Alegre is too close. I guess it's the only airport managed by the city's authorities.

Passo Fundo is the second one (with Avianca, NHT and Azul) and I guess they're not far from the 100,000 pax. Santa Maria, big city in central state, now with Azul, it's probably post numbers similar to Pelotas'.
