High water Deventer (NL)

After the snow and the associated smoothness is it now the high water from the IJssel which creates problems in Deventer. The Welle, which runs along the river, is earlier this week closed for traffic. Sandbags have been placed to the residents of homes on the waterfront to protect them against high water. Lots of visitors came to the Welle.

Crazy! Wish I had a perspective of the river on a normal day though.

Melting snow and lots of rain in southern Germany is the cause of this flooding.....
