Once again, I have to say Rotterdam Skyline is not only about quantity...but quality is always on the top, the whole city is nothing less than a design forum showcase.

This midrise, The Shipping and Transport College (related to the port), is almost finished. Student will start to use the building in a month, not that tall but unique design:

Rendering:

Result by Jan:

The area is a redevellopment of old harbourterrain. It will become a dense urban area with lots of apartments, bars, restaurants and many commercial spaces which will be used by media technology companies. (there are allready many located there).

Some towers up to 90/120 meters will rise just behind this building in the next few years.

mass study of the area, constrution of this tower on the right, citycenter in the background:

Montevideo is great. I really like the diagonal beams being visible trough the windows.

Now, we can look at other projects in Rotterdam. Like the Scheepsmakerstoren. 88 meters tall.

Last update by mjb-solutions.

A other interesting project is The Red Apple. 127 meters tall. The construction of the base start hopefully soon.

One of the most interesting developmens in Rotterdam is at the Wilhelminapier. 2 towers of 153 meters and 3 towers of 70 meters will be constructed between now and 10 years.

(The 5 dark orange towers on the center and right.)

Timepath.

Montevideo is a masterpiece, indeed. Especially the newer high-rises are very unique. The Scheepmakerstoren is another favorite of mine. Fascinating!

I like the Red apple and Scheepsmakerstoren! For me are the best projects of Rotterdam......Montevideo have an old design, remember me some building built in Italy on the 50's and 60's, during the economic boom......i doesnt like it!

Rotterdam is a beatiful town, but there's a lot of new building too ugly.....with an old architecture.

Years ago I visited Rotterdam several times on a yearly basis.
I was impressed by what I saw that time , long before this forum existed.
Nowadays I have less time -and other interests- so I must say threads like these give me a perfect impression how the city has changed during the last five years.

It seems the boom isn't over yet , and I need to get over there someday to see it all live.

for the stunning photography !

The newest sensation, a study for a downtown location where a burned out building is standing now. (only the groundfloors are still in use, the rest is black with wood before the windows). But is is not a serious project yet but it can become one in the near future, let's hope so.

height: 140 meters
architect: DAVL Studio

The develloper now said they want to built the tallest in the netherlands. Since the tallest approval now is 161 meters, they schould go taller then that... Good news!

That picture by Laurens is outstanding. Almost too good to be true.

Is Coopveart topped out, or is it going higher? If so, how many floors does it have left?
