Good to see some cars on the street; otherwise, rather ghostly.

¿Why the city need to be full of cars? maby the people in china are more conscientious or the city its very well planed. You need to know that the chinese people build for the future not for the present.

powerlong looks topped out. last time we got an update it was on hold and not quite topped out, so this is amazing news it's side tower has really good progress as well.

hard to judge the yinglan tower, but there we had an update just beginning of the month already. still slow i would expect.

the plot for rose rock turned from dirt to grass, which is a rather sad thing to see, but expected as it is a project for a much later phase anyways.

Build it and they will come. This is Tianjin we're talking about, not the middle of nowhere.

Nobody was injured in YJP from the explosion, mostly due to the fact that there are no people in YJP. However millions of crickets are dead.

Yujiapu Station, originally slated to be opened this month, though the recent events nearby might delay that.

The station as planned. (SOM)

So you want intense traffic in an area that is under development... then what you do when the area is filled with buildings?

Great logic..

It should look like this now... the just use your imagination how traffic will be when hundreds of thousands of new jobs are created.

The article states that:

Quote:
As China's first underground high speed train station, the Yujiapu Station shell shaped ceiling can be viewed above the ground.
I thought Futian Station in Shenzhen was the first underground high speed train station in China. Is the Yujiapu station bigger? It looks like the Futian station won't have anything visible above ground like Yujiapu.

Edit....I thought I was in the China High Speed Rail thread.
