January in Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota – Round 2

In an effort to conclude my Northeast Minneapolis photo tour, I decided to go back out and brave the 0ºF temps to get the rest of the Old Saint Anthony business district. As one can see, the cold does not stop Minnesotans.

Thanks, Som. I thought it looked like a weird Minnesota-style Jackson Pollock painting.

Yeah, I don't love it either, but it is what it is, I guess. At least it's not a Walmart or a parking lot.

Yeah, I really think that pic with the tire tracks is cool! I think it would probably look really good enlarged, for a wall hanging...in black and white. I can definitely see that in a frame on the wall in a room that is really contemporary in style, especially in black and white.

You take some fantastic pictures of Minnesota and I have used a number of yours as my background as well, from my work laptop to home pc(s). Your work is appreciated beyond this thread!

great collection of photos! I especially liked the birds in the steam cloud and the couple on the endless bridge at the Guthrie.

That's actually the "Yellow Room" on the top floor. I still can't believe I happened upon the perfect shot, although I'm a bit disappointed by the graininess.

Thanks, Gustavozb! Yes, we definitely have lots and lots of snow, and we're only half-way through winter here in Minnesota.

Nice pictures. Where is this area in Minneapolis again? I know it's by the river, based on a couple pictures here and in the first thread, but other than that I have no idea.

It is exactly how it sounds. just north-east of downtown. basically if you want to go there cross the river from downtown and you are there

Is that shot with the dancing couple for real? What are the chances? Awesome.

I was just as amazed when I saw it on my camera's LCD screen! It was one of those rare perfect-timing shots that I very well may never see again. I really wish I knew who the couple were so I could give them the photo.
