London already has Olympic Games history! It is the only city in the world to have hosted the games 3 times.

Im quite open minded when it comes to a lot of structures and buildings, but this thing.... honestly! Its an absolute mess, why in gods name would they want that stuck right in the middle of the olympic park? If i was a designer i would of been embarressed to present that design idea, let alone have it passed to be built.

It's a complete mess and doesn't stand for anything of merit. They say it's the UK's largest piece of public art? Whats artistic about this? Doesn't art have to stand for something - to mean something? Anish Kapoor himself doesn't seem able to explain why it looks like it does, other than some childish comment about how it looks like it's going to fall over. It's like he spent a day trying to make something that looked like it was going to fall over but doesn't and this is the end result.

Please; what a dissapointing bunch of turd. All this stands for is an ego project for organisers and a giant advertisement for a steel company.

They have achieved the goal of being "different", I guess...

i can see why ppl dont like it, but i see it this way, at the end of the day its a fun bit of design where the sculptor/architect has truly let loose.

If we didnt experiment in architecture we wouldnt have some of the best loved buildings in the world we do today :P embrace it as being different as during the olympics im sure it will look quite spectacular

I personally adore this tower - yes it looks a mess, but in a good way. It's something that people will stop and look at, it'll give the Olympic Park a great landmark and allow people to see London from a new angle. Looking forward to seeing it built.

I hate it more than the first day I saw it, an utter abomination

Can't believe that this is designed by the same guy who created the mind-blowing 'Marsyas' at Tate Modern, which was truly a masterpiece.

Just glad it's hidden away in Stratford...

I think it's biggest selling point to visitors is that the view from the top is the only one in London that won't be blighted by this deformed roller coaster

I think this will be one of those structures best seen in the flesh. I have a feeling that once this thing goes up there will be a lot of shifted opinions.
