People who think it looks like a roller coaster are crazy. In my opinion it looks more like an ampersand.

See what I mean!

I still love it though .

Almost as bad as the 200 million spent on the Sinaker (sp) tower in Portsmouth,
At least that actually looks good.
If you want to compare those two like that, you should probably also point out that the cost of this tower is estimate at only 20 million £.

Let's see what lighting they'll use for this one.

Are you sure it will get night lighting schemes too?

I would imagine it will get some sort of lighting scheme, simply because it's the tallest thing in the area and a beacon for the Olympic Park. Even a basic one would do, but I don't think it'll be left in complete darkness when the sun goes down.

I love this tower. But its completely mental. I have no idea how it got commissioned by sensible people.

Actually come to think of it, it was Boris who commissioned it wasn't it? Says a lot!

There's proposals for several, including one which has a 'blob' of light which travels along the loops like a proton then lights up the viewing pod.

It is mental.

I praise the thinking behind it, it completely destroys the rule book.

However, I really wanted to like it, but now its nearing completion I don't think I do.

At the moment i don't see any decent lighting scheme of this monster, perhaps we should wait until the entire progress is done?

I don't really understand the constant criticisms of the appearance of the tower when it's still being built!

It's like saying about this:

Oh my god it's so ugly and weird, how is it even going to move?! It looks like some kind of wrecked vehicle
