The structure will start to get more complex soon.

Is that the same crane they used to construct the cable-supported roof and lifted the floodlights into position?

this red color is very rude. Something white or silver would has been much better imo

If this tower was silver or white, you would probably say the colour is too simple, nothing impressive. no?
I wonder why a good comment never comes from you

To be fair it's bloody difficult to come up with a compliment for Orbit

it looks like they have been erecting a platform inside the structure from which a cherry picker can position the worker to tighten the new pieces. another worker was suspended from one of the tall cranes presumably also tightening/inspecting the new piece in place:

I've decided I loathe this again now, although I never truly warmed to it. It is just a mangled crane wreck and if I were going to the games without prior knowledge of this structure I would think it was something that had collapsed and never been dealt with due to the economic woes.

With most schemes, barmy as they get, I can at least acknowledge why people like them, but not this. How it ever got through planning I will never know! It just looks like Godzilla's chew toy - hideous

Seriously, you should not judge according to the pics. I used to hate this thing more than you do. But when i saw it in person i suddenly changed my mind and i thought wow this is such a complex structure and piece of art which is quite difficult to build. So, i think whether people like it or not, it is going to be a monument for the Olympic
