Cool thread, Jennifat! Look at those massive snowbanks. It looks like you have almost as much snow in Minneapolis as we have here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. :haha:

From what I've seen of all of your threads, it looks like you generally take photos in the evening (or I guess afternoon this time of year) when the sun is low in the sky. It makes everything look so warm despite the cold!

Thanks, Gaviidae.

Yeah, we certainly have plenty of snow over here. The National Weather Service is predicting that the entire state of Minnesota will suffer from severe flooding this spring, like in 1993. I shudder to think that that could actually happen again.

And yes, I usually do go out in the late afternoon/evening when I explore with my camera, but I don't exactly plan it that way. I like to sleep in VERY late on the weekends.

I see the Twin Cities are poised to get their third major blizzard of the winter next Tuesday! You should get some St. Paul shots

Yeah, we're bracing for another big snowstorm next week – most of us are at wit's end by this time of year. While signs of spring are showing most everywhere else...we'll still be waiting until at least April.

Still looks like spring is nowhere in sight for the Upper Midwest...

It's very slowly starting to warm up here, but there's still some snow on the ground. Urgh! This is the WORST time of year for me. The time it takes for spring to finally set in is absolutely maddening...

Thanks, intervention. These were taken in the Old Saint Anthony neighborhood of Minneapolis, so there's a lot more of the city for me to cover. Up until recently, it's been a very working class area of the city.
