Two more:

The entrance to Ringvägen Tunnelbana station in 1933. In 1933 the tunnelbana was trafficked by trams, it was upgraded to metro standard in 1950.

The station entrence has been moved and the station renamed Skanstull.

Kungsgatan 1944, probably one of the few streets in europe lit up like this that year.

Modern Kungsgatan, sadly there isnt much left of the neon signs that made the street glow.

Awesome! I love the simple three-color neon signs on that street. So retro 40s and stylish, yet so ultra-modern looking at the same time, as opposed to Tokyo.

I love that picture, it would be nice if they could put up some proper neon signs again.

1944? Looks like now, except for the design of some logos. Very modern!

Great photo and frankly the street looks much better in 1944 then the dump that it looks today. btw lots of neon ads for german companies (aeg, siemens, telefunken), looks like Nazi germany was doing great buisness in 1944 sweden

The german embassy flying the flag at half mast april 30th 1945, the day Hitler died.

The same building today, the embassy has moved.

Beridarebansgatan 1954

Bridarebansgatan now, it has certainly changed for the worse.

Its very sad, some demolitions had to be made to build the metro but much of it was just stupidity.

Old hotel Continental across the street from the Central Station on Vasagatan 1899.

Scandic Hotel Continental and the Klaraberg viaduct that has taken the place of the old hotel.
