i really have enjoyed looking at so much of these. some of the country side scenes brought tears to my eyes---beautiful. the leeds victoria shot is wonderful. the civic hall w/ its two spires and so many of the beautiful public buildings, along w/ the cathedrals and churches. i am blessed to live in america; however, i have often thought that i would one day hop on a plane, find the perfect little cottage near the country, and live out the rest of my life. i live in the southern u.s.---memphis, and we have 4 seasons, which i love, but it is often humid and hot 6 months out of the year. i love cloudy, rainy, cool or cold days. english weather seems just about what i would like. again, thanks for sharing the photos. kingchef

Beautiful. This are the best photos of England I have ever seen. It seems I have underestimated England - until now I have only been in London. I especially like the photos of the rural areas - fantastic.

st. george's hall---inside and out---would take me a week to see. how very beautiful. we americans would never think that liverpool would have anything as beautiful as this building to offer. the joke is on us, it seems.
the skills of craftsmen are amazing and wonderful. perhaps, if i had it to do over, i would have studied classical architecture, traveled the world, and gone a totally different direction. i fear poor taste, cost, and a general lack of appreciation for the arts will limit the creation of buildings shown here. thank you for sharing. kingchef |
