70% will be used for IT itself- Dr Babu George

Dr. Babu George, the new MD for Smart City Kochi, announced major changes will be brought to Masterplan of the project. He also said, 70% of structures will continue for IT/ITES projects within Smart City, though Masterplan will allow major changes for accommodating other facilities. He also expressed that IT opportunities will not come down, rather only will be boosted. He also dismissed unnecessary fears for losing IT projects....

Smart City - New Master Planner to be finalized soon

Since Unitech and Bluestar are ready to go with 70% industrial area rule, the new govt gifted them another 20% land inside Sez for non industrial activity, to shut their mouth against smart city.

WTF is this Asianet guys smoking. I can understand biased reporting, but not having common sense, I thought, is the monopoly of Deshabhimani/Kairali.

Some private companies bought land from open market, without any government assistance. It is their call what they use it for. They opted to build a SEZ there. The current state govt decided to go with the policy of the central govt with the usage of the land.

THEN, Asianet implies that those companies are going to make a profit by building flats there. Hello!!! They could have built flats there to begin with!!

THEN Asianet claims land price at 4 lakh!! First of all, even after all the inflation, the land prices at those sites are below 2L. THEN, who are they kidding!! The companies bought the land paying market rate, and whatever gains they get is rightfully theirs!!

I am NOT talking about the smart city project here. The land for that project is acquired with govt assistance, so we need to be wary of its use. WTF is Asianet's problem about the other private entrepreneurs doing projects with their own money? And what is the Lahori Logic that arrived at the Rs 240 Crores figure? The news item lets it be that the govt issues them a check for that amount!!

Jeez!!!!
