we were in KL for about 4 & a half days. Lol, night time is good temperature though, although still a little humid, it was nice to walk around the night markets and streets.

Yea, we didn't expect to do that much, we were more thinking of just visiting the Petronas Towers (going up it) and walk around a bit, but upon arriving and talking to taxi drivers, brochures etc... we ended up doing way more than we expected - which is good!

Yup, sometimes underrated and unexpected is always good...LOL...4 n a half days seems like a good enough duration here in KL. If you could afford more days, there are many more places to go to at the outskirts and throughout the country..

Before leaving, we wanted to stay a bit longer - maybe 1 or 2 days longer just to do some shopping, walking around etc...
Definately visiting another time though!

We were also recommended Malacca but decided not to go. Should we visit Malacca next time?

Ooh yes Malacca is highly recommended if history is your thing....it's one of the oldest settlement here. Penang Island is also another recommended place to go. Both are UNESCO Heritage cities....You're able to find pics of Penang and Malacca in this forum....

The many birds everywhere around the Batu Caves

The massive statue there. Unfortunately, we didn't go inside the cave as it was just a stop on the way to the Genting Highlands. Still amazing!

Streets of KL at night

Random shot of somewhere in KL

We found a toilet restaurant!! This is located in the Sungei Wang plaza in Bukit Bintang district!

More photos soon - and Putrajaya!

Nice, wow you managed to cover Putrajaya and Genting Highlands as well, nice fulfilling schedule.....As for not going to Berjaya Times Sq, I guess since i live here, I always told myself I can still go anytime I want. Anyways, I'm not much of a shopping -mall-kinda person...

Putrajaya we just toured around before our way to the airport.

Lol, fair enough, I wish we had shopping malls like that though!

More:

The KL skyline upon leaving towards Putrajaya

Modern buildings in Putrajaya

The streets were very empty there, but we were told that this area is like this
as most activity is the workers go and work and leave at night. Theres not much street activity. Still, the buildings are very beautiful

Beautiful mosque

Close up of the mosque's entrance

lol, we didn't expect to do much anyway but ended up doing a lot more. We were thinking of going to Malacca or Penang or this place with fireflies (I think) but since this was our first time, we just spent it all in KL.

ok here are some on the trip to Genting

on the way there - the whole area outside of KL seems to be just endless greenery!

before arriving at genting, we stopped at this Chinese temple place. Upon getting out of the car,
it felt so different to in KL. It wasn't hot! It was this weird cold/misty feeling

more of this mystical temple place

The temple peeking out into the clouds

Leaving the temple place and continuing uphill to Genting

Arriving at the complex. It felt weird up there, the buildings didn't look really new but we couldn't see much anyway as the outside was so foggy!

Inside is this massive theme park. KL has so many indoor theme parks!! (not really but it seems like it)

More

Different cultural shops here. Not very busy today

Back outside, as you can see it is very foggy

the outdoor theme park

one of various hotels outside the place

the colours of the building

back down to KL!
