I'd be lying if I said I was in love with those panels on the front, but I've been surprised before. I hated 30 Park Place's cladding at first but I think it looks really nice now. Definitely need to give it time.

I still hope they do nothing fancy with the lighting so it'll end up being a sparkling pyramid at the waterfront.

It doesn't need the outer shell to have a smooth appearance.

Here's an oldish shot of the courtyard that was never posted. Can't wait to see it finished.

I don't think the back side cladding looks bad, I only wonder how th top part will be cladded.

I don't see the need for slope side cladding, the number of floors is plenty to achieve a smooth curved appearance.

I've been quietly thinking the same thing. I love this building, but I think the outer shell will isn't necessary to achieve the graceful look of its shape, and it will certainly detract from inhabitants' views.

I wonder what will happen in a snowstorm. An avalanche?

yeah pretty bad for the inhabitants considering they could have had private terraces with at least double the viewing area

glad the architects did not cave before the greedy developer though, because the building itself, from an architectural point of view, will look much better with this feature

Anyone know the name/address of the building rising just behind and slightly to the right of the 'pyramid' in that picture above?
