Indeed.
The land was owned by the Puteaux Municpality, but it's located in the City of Nanterre....That's why many people are mistaken (including the blogger who wrote the article you've quoted, Jericho-79)

BTW, here are some pics of the site/land:

(the tower in the foreground of the last pic was also designed by Portzamparc )

A Perfect inclusion to any Olympics bid. Could serve 2 indoor sports at the one venue by dividing it into 2 halls.

the entrance is very old school style.

yes for the olympics if someday they start to bid again it would be cool to have it in organization

Why not? It's a venue that by bid time could be classified as "existing". Even if classified as "proposed" it will be more than capable to be split in 2 "arenas" and avoid the need of building temporary arenas for the likes of Volleyball and Handball. The retractable roof is what effectively seals the deal.

After the roof, the height, the land and the location..now it's the main entrance....

Nah, just teasing you ! Because actually I agree with you about the main entrance... but let's wait and see, maybe it will look different in reality (even if its desing remains the same as it is today)

It seems strange that there are 2 Paris teams in the Top 14 and only 1 in Ligue 1 and 2.

= French sport in general, dear ! (they are the oldest multi-sport clubs in France ... ) !

(The Racing Club de France - aka Racing-Métro 92 for its rugby section - being one of the oldest European multi-sport clubs BTW )

Only the limit of your knowledge apparently !

Jacky Lorenzetti owns 100% of the Racing-Métro, that's why he wants the club to become independent financially, and actually, it's the first purpose of this new arena which will be 100% owned by the Club and not by Jacky Lorenzetti (according to Lorenzetti himself).

What I meant by "private partners" was the company(ies) which will buy the naming rights + the Club's partners which will rent the office spaces built inside the stadium.

The stadium funding and management are a bit complicated, but here is a short summary:

The Racing Arena company (100% owned by the Racing-Métro) will build, fund and will own the stadium, they'll manage the rugby events/games, they'll rent out the office and commercial spaces, they'll own the restaurants, the Racing Brasserie, the Club-house shop etc, and last but not least, they will sell the naming rights of the stadium.

On the other hand, the Stadôme company (100% owned by Ovalto Investissement: the Lorenzetti's company) will manage the stadium for the concerts and non-rugby events, and will produce these events/concerts.

Here are some details in French about that (extracted from a pdf file published by Stadôme/Ovalto Investissment):
Saracens don't play on artificial turf yet!

They have plans to redevelop Copthall Stadium in Barnet (north London) into a multipurpose 10K stadium with an artificial pitch BUT nothing has been finalised yet and the plans are still in Limbo.

Having told Watford FC that they were leaving Vicarage Road, they found themselves without a ground and had to go back and ask if they could play there this season and have agreed a short term deal.

Unsurprisingly, Watford put their rent up considerably

artificial turf what a joke for rugby!

Where do they go with this?!

Rugby is an excuse . The main reason is about organizing the concerts that bercy can't hold

this is the TRUE story

Anyway it will be a blowing concert hall.

I'm remember asking this of another french guy and he told me that there is one team per city in football, are these clubs being forced to merged?

Indeed, there was a rule about that (initiated by Jules Rimet, one of the most famous former French football leaders, and creator of the FIFA World Cup..that's why the trophy was named after him).. But this rule was unofficial, and only about football teams, not about rugby ones, in order to have good football teams all around the country, and not only in big cities.. the result is the current French football: One team per city, including some very small cities such as Auxerre, Sochaux/Montbéliard etc

Seems like a classic example of, on first thoughts, logical thinking, but which when looked into is deeply flawed.

32 000 is enough for a rugby club. it's not football.

It is could consider as gigantic because the most of french rugby club haven't this type of infrastructures. Even french football medium new stadium are around 25000 seats.

it is a great thing for rugby to have an indoor arena.
