Wait a second, I was thrown off by the picture found here:

http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...ml#post1458961

Which on second look is a really good photoshop.

The TF-AAK, which is the actual plane has a completely different history. It was originally delivered to Air France in 2003 and retired in October 2015 It was taken up by Air Atlanta Icelandic in November 2015 as a lease from Aercap. It was leased specifically for Iron Maiden for their 6 months long world tour.

Who knows what will happen with this plane after the tour? It might even get stored until the next tour.

Even in inclement weather, I get to see aircraft quite well, like this one, about to depart for Beijing:

United Airlines Considers Early Retirement For Boeing 747:

United Airlines may retire its fleet of Boeing 747 by 2018, ahead of scheduled retirement in 2020

Quote:
The airline would replace its fleet with either aircraft from Boeing or Airbus. It has already placed order for 35 Airbus A350-1000 that are expected to be delivered by 2018. It still has an option to place an order of additional 40 A350-1000 in near future. The carrier will also start receiving Boeing777-300ER deliveries.

Industry analysts favor Boeing’s 777-300ER and expect the airline to order more jets by 2018-19. However, based on airlines previous statements, it might consider other models such as Boeing’s 787, 777, and Airbus’ A350 to replace 747.
Quote:
United Airlines is not the only one that has announced early retirement of Boeing’s 747; Delta Air Lines has also announced early retirement of its nine 747 by 2017. The airline has selected Airbus A350-900 as replacement aircraft, deliveries of which will start in 2017. Delta also operates Boeing’s older 757-200s that are also scheduled to retire in 2017 and will be replaced by Boeing 737-900ER.

After the announcement that the production rate will be reduced to 0,5 747s per month in September 2016 Boeing quietly released a projection that the production will go back up to 1 per month in 2019.

http://investors.boeing.com/investor...s/default.aspx

It looks like Boeing still believes that the cargo market will rebound at the end of the decade. And at some point the large 747-400F operators like Singapore Airlines and China Airlines will also have to replace their fleets.
