Delta Airlines and EVA Air (the passenger ones, don't know about the cargo ones).

I'll be especially sad to send off the final 744 from UA, especially most of them are based out here in San Francisco. That reminds me of the final Air New Zealand Boeing 747-400 flight which did NZ7 from San Francisco to Auckland some time back... now I wonder which flight will be the penultimate UA 744 flight, in which I know it will have a SFO connection.

Qantas will still be keeping it's six 747-400ERs (and it doesn't sound like they have any intention of letting those go just yet), while retiring its five remaining 747-400s by the end of this decade.

Also, isn't Asiana Airlines still planning on keeping its 747-400s (and 400Ms)?

At least the Boeing 747-8i still have long life ahead, although their number are very small when compared to Boeing 747-400 or its predecessors

So who will operate 9M-MPP anyway? Would it retain its retro livery?

It looks like Arik Air converted their 747-8I order to the 787.

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/#/orders-deliveries

2 747 cancellations, model and customer not specified and an order for 2 787s by this Nigerian airline. Arik Air had 2 747-8Is on order.

A logical swap, the 787, for which they already had 7 on order, is a much better plane for their needs.

It's just pity that the retro livery was short lived. I thought they're going to see some regular service with MAS. But alas, it never materialize.

The timeline would suggest it only went to Victorville for painting rather than storage.

Are you heading over to PAE to unravel the mystery for us Woody?

LN1437 has been in storage since April 15, 2013.
