L/N 1535 - 747-8(7U)F, RC651, serial number 63199, The Boeing Company, test registration N1785B, KPAE, white livery, roll-out without engines at June 14 2016, second roll-out October 25 2016 after engine installation, F/F January 10 2017. Ferried to Victorville for paint at January 26 2017. Returned in white livery at Feb 17 2017. Will most probably be leased to Atlas Air with registration N860GT

There also was a cancellation for 1 747 on the same update, it's not clear if it's related to the new order.
It turns out that this single order was for 1 747-8I, the cancellation was for 1 747-8I by Transaero.

This suggests that Boeing received an order for 1 of the Transaero NTU frames.

There are also 2 BBJs that have been cancelled, one because the owner passed away. I'm not sure why the other one was cancelled late last year.

Of those two, the one where the owner passed was actually delivered. It is being re-marketed by Atlas I believe. So for Boeing owned white tails, that would leave the 1 LH, 1 UN, and 1 BBJ.

Correct - The 2 748F's that UPS added to their order are LN1437 (which is at PAE now for re-work) and BGU NTU LN1542 (Which was Cx'd by BGU during final assembly and reassigned to US)

We've published a trip report on a flight aboard a Lufthansa 747-8 from Frankfurt to Newark in Premium Economy class. The text is in Italian but photos are understandable to everyone ;-) -> http://coseconleali.medalp.eu/news/a...-boeing-747-8/

They are taking 1543 first, as it's configured from the ground for UPS.

Also it was confirmed 1437 is indeed a UPS frame.

My Source informed me that they are doing mods to bring it into alignment with FAA specs in regards to fire suppression systems for Cargo were as ABC 747's don't meet those requirements.

Chris,
Thanks for the info about the change of operator of L/N1542.
Probably the original serial number will be retained, the variable number may change after the airplane has been adapted for the UPS configuration.

Sorry for the late reaction, but I received some surgery and was several days at the hospital.
But now i'm back home and back in the loop.

Regards, Peter.

Peter,

Glad your feeling better. Yes it was pulled apart for change work in the wing body join location. It was odd to see it in the position. My contact that took me around the factory floor was surprised to see it that way as well. But makes sense since she said they are taking the time to modify it now before joining the sections.

Last commercial flight being operated by Kalitta Air 742F right now, this marks end of commercial 747-200 ops in western hemisphere.
