LN1435 RC021 (former 2nd 747-8I test frame) is on the flightline now in stall 206. Looks like re-work to certification standard is complete, will probably fly in few days. No certain future for it, rumor says it is again scheduled for Lufthansa, but no additional order has been announced.

It was also announced today that Korean Air's first 747-8i route has gone on sale. It will be LHR, and the configuration looks to be economy heavy. Well, economy heavy for KE. :-)

So probably VIP Customer, BBJ? Only other option is Transaero, as they always look for good 2nd hand deals.

Good question - TBC is the code Boeing has it list as on their flight line sheet.

It could be Royal Air Maroc, they were looking at buying 1 747-8 or A380 for Royal and Hadj flights (interesting combination). With their good relations with Boeing, including a primarily Boeing fleet an order for just 1 747-8I would financially make more sense then an order for 1 A380.

So when is the 747 line expected to be shut down? 2018 or 2019?

Boeing doesn't have the orders to allocate any 2018 delivery slots yet, if there won't be any more orders it's going to be 2018.

Maybe Emirates will change its mind and order 200 747-8I instead of their planned order of 200 A380s.
