LED message boards which can display static or scrolling text/symbols are standard on patrol & Highway/Traffic police cars in Australia.

This car is not in use as a regular police car. It is used to protect important politicians and this huge lorries with some money (€€€€) on board

I just could find this older picture, I've seen something like this on the autobahn with armored G-class Mercedes.
OMG, that's amazing! I can't even immagine the amount of money on those trucks... now I understand why those cars need to be armored.
Thanks.

Russianpride, is that car from the Moscow Traffic (Highway) Police?

About the same colors as the old NEW YORK STATE POLICE paint scheme.

Actually, a fleet of low-visibility police cars help crime prevention same as high-visibility ones, because in the middle of traffic you would never know if the Law may catch you or not. I do think highway patrols should all be unmarked cars.
Why Thank You Sir!

Yes, we are quite proud of how the new Police Cars turned out even here across the street at the Fire Department.

Agree also with your comment about their use.

Though being a smaller city we really don't have that much traffic "In Town" -most of the traffic being on the highway that cuts along the edge of town. That is where the white car comes in for regular patroling. In the State of Arkansas I would have to say that 80% of the Police Cars (State Police, Highway Police, County & Local) have a white color base so drivers naturally slow down when they see a white car coming at them or parked next to the highway even if it doesn't have any visable lights or markings. Just force of habit.

The "Stealth" scheme comes in handy more for the Criminal end where you want the cars to be a little harder to spot plus can also be used for traffic when need be.

Great thread! I just registered myself because of it. Too bad the pics aren't all uploaded to wikimedia commons though. This would be a great addition!

If anyone would like to upload their pictures, please feel free:
