Vancouver is indeed impressive. I didn't know Dubai was under 3 million though. If it is, my vote goes to Dubai!

City population is meaningless; its just a political boundary. Miami has a population equal to Toronto; 5,547,051 in 2009!

Nominating Auckland - not the tallest overall but aesthetically very pleasing (Pop: 1.4 million)

A few years ago Calgary would've had the best skyline under 1 million imo.

This is totally wrong, the entire COUNTRY of Panama has 3.5 million people, Panama City itself only has about 800,000 people, and with its metro area it comes up to a lil more than 1 million.

Well, I'll nominate the skyline of Rosario (pop. 1.3 M). Not because of its spectacular buildings (it has none), but because of its length. You can sail along the city's coastline and see kilometers and kilometers of lowrises, one after the other, without ever taking sight of any of them twice. So that, in actuality, we could talk of several skylines in the city, if we consider a skyline a row of buildings that can be captured in one and the same shot.

Sorry, the weather didn't help in most of the shots.

Skyline of the Park of Spain:

Skyline of El Bajo ('The Low Quarter'):

The phallus-like Flag Memorial:

Martin district:

The Low Quarter and the Park of Spain, seen from the flag memorial:

The Central Coast skyline:

A view of around half of the whole skyline from the islands opposite to the city across the river:

God (i.e. Jan) willing, the following shot will be a SSC banner in some time to come:

At the urban renewal district of Puerto Norte (North Port), a new skyline is beginning to arise, this time comprising 40+-storey buildings:

Double facepalm for anyone who posts New York City pics (since the island of Manhattan only has 1.7 million people)
