Looks very much like Coventry City's Ricoh Arena.

Looks like the stands maintain a continuous profile, just that most of the VIP/hospitality areas are on one side, which extends further back from the bowl than the rest of the stadium. Its pretty common to try and group all of ones VIP areas for money reasons, but it does seam to have ton of space for those functions.

Are there any examples of the cladding they intend on using on the roof? Looking at the renders, I can't say I'm a massive fan of the inside of the stadium, however, the outside (especially the gold cladding) looks great!

Actually, it's pretty different. Has similarities, but the seating bowl varies significantly and so does the finrastructure of the main stand. So visually yes, very much alike. But far from same.

Nice stadium.
Will the Israeli national team play here?
I once went to a match at Ramat Gan in the 1980's. Not a great place to watch football!
Mind you it was a 0-0 in the p*ssing rain....that might have influenced my overall opinion of the place.

There is a plan to demolish Ramat-Gan Stadium, and build new stadium, BUT it's just a plan. nothing approved yet, and it's not gonna happen soon.
Current Ramat-Gan Stadium is awful stadium. Last games of Israel national team played at Bloomfield stadium (low capacity of 15,000 seats, but good stadium).

Israeli national team will play in Haifa stadium, along with Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem that will expended to 30,000 seats this year.
