Klaipeda rocks, can't wait to see those highrises U/C
As for a city of this size I would say it's the fastest developing city in the whole region

I couldn't wait to sea all this building U/C. Could anybody draw some suspected skyline. Even symbolic high and placement. I want to compare this with Tallin.

The buildings are quite scattered, only one (the Kay tower) will be built in the center part of the town. Others are going to be built in the southern, mostly industrial part of Klaipeda

Yeah, now we see what happens, when a city council doesn't prepare a skyscraper development plan

They may all be new and sleek, but what upsets me about these designs is that the buildings could be just about anywhere.

@ch1le

that36-floorer will be residential AFAIK, so it shouldn't be taller than 120-125m

The first pic, Gandraliskes residential district, looks very sweet. It'd be a great sight when walking on that street.
B1 Business Center is nice, too, it gives an impression of a very high building.
I'm not so sure about the Kay Tower. Sure, it has a remarkable design, but I'm not into it very much. I especially don't like the lower part, where the building widens to the front.
Can't say much about the Akropolis, all those hypermarkets are just some metal boxes.

If the first pic was sweet, so this will be even sweeter

According to the latest news, the construction of 27 floor office building (B1 Business Center) "will start in a few months due to project correction". The construction had to begin this month.

And here's a rendering of the latest (but perhaps yet not final) version of the project

As I see this thread is a bit forgoten, so:

The K tower is u/c now:

2x15fl. business center (u/c not far away)

Highrise and shoping center proposal not far from Gandraliskes

No more renderings, but:

30fl. and two smaller highrises aproved (near Gandraliskes)
2x20+fl. and and some smaller residentials in developement
16 and 6fl. residentials proposed (again near Gandraliskes)
15fl. residential in developement

And some smaller projects:

2 big furniture centers u/c

2x10fl. residentials u/c

9fl. commercial aproved

8fl. commercial and residential u/c

Commercial and residential building in developement (17000m2, 18mln. euros)

Akropolis should be the same size as Akropolis in Vilnius (100000m2)

Sports arena in developement (5000 seats)

"Statybu aleja" building material center almost completed and the new "Lietuvos draudimas" building

And 2 not 1! factories each over 80mln. euros u/c (one of them almost finished)

All we should do now is connect Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda with 300km/h railway, so that we could enjoy seing these cities whenever we want
