This is St. Stephen's Tower in Baia Mare, Romania. There used to be a church attached to it but that's gone now. My childhood school is right next to it and I remember walking past it everyday fascinated by how tall it was. 40m (130ft) and built in 1446.

gonbade kavoos tower in iran, built in 1006 ad, 72 metres tall, the talles free standing structure of its time and currently the tallest purely brick tower in the world

Osijek cathedral (Croatia)

Built on place of an older church that was demolished in 1894.,and this cathedral was built in 1898. in neo gothic style.It iz 97 meters tall,its the 5. tallest building in Croatia,and the tallest outside of capital Zagreb.In its construction more then 2 million bricks were needed.It was Heavy damaged in Croatian war for independence (1991-1995).Since my city was border it was bombed a lot in those four years and more then 500 bombs fell on cathedral.

Officially opened in 1888, the Washington Monument in DC was the world's tallest structure until the completion of the Eiffel Tower in 1889.
