A few more Summery pics..

Let's now have a look at the Museum of War. While its collections may not be as impressive as other similar museums, especially in Europe, this one benefits from a modern, recent facility and excellent narrative. Very instructive!

A few shots taken inside Parliament

The old city hall building

A few details of buildings and structures downtown, mostly on pedestrian Sparks Street.

A few shots taken in and around the By Market area, Ottawa's main restaurant and nightlife area

Let's look now at some more closeups on Bank and Sparks Streets, the busiest ones in the "Centretown" area

Time for some Ottawa interiors

Let's have a look now at the Supreme Court of Canada, on Wellington Street. The building, finished in 1946 is an odd mix of neo-gothic and austere late art deco styles.

Right in front, the serene St. Andrew's church

This is the new building of the Bank of Canada, Canada's central bank.

The glass outside reflects the West "block" of the parliament buildings

A few blocks east, on Sparks Street, we have the library of Parliament

Moving back outdoors, the gothic revival architecture of the faux Château Laurier hotel, finished in 1908.

Now, random buildings and façades

Plus some green Ottawa

More images from the Canadian capital... OTTAWA, in case you didn't know...

Random street shots

The Rideau Canal, which we've seen below, continues winding its way South, and it's a quite pretty ride, no matter what the season...

But we'll make it only as far as Carleton University this time!

Back downtown, more of the Parliament!

Probably my all-time favourite neo-gothic structure, the library. Queen Victoria presiding.

And the "Red Chamber" of the Senate.

Ottawa is pretty year-round, but in Spring, the whole city booms with beautiful tulips from the Netherlands, in gratitude of Canada's efforts in the liberation of the country during the Second World War.
