I have not been there myself recently, but I understood it was complete. But then maybe something was overlooked or not done correctly, the conservator is a tyrant (and for good reason). someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to head out there when I have a chance.

No, this Sd.Kfz.301 (Borgward B IV) is in the Deutsches Panzermuseum in Münster.

Actually interesting: I always thought it was indeed a Goliath that blew up the building:

These small 'tanks' drove to the target and exploded. While the Borgward could leave behind an explosive device and pull back. I didn't know it was the latter that was used in bombing the cathedral. Wikipedia says the sign on the church is thus wrong.

Here are still two pictures of a destroyed Sd.Kfz.301 on the streets of Warsaw.

It should be Kilińskiego street.

Hello, Rychlik!

There are no threads specific to Manila, but there are some threads in the Philippine forums relating to heritage. I have not viewed them extensively and you may need to sift through the pages to find good photos:

Obituary:

One of the last survivors on Leszno Street, a once very elegant street of tall kamienice, got torn down today. The building once owned by Herman Sieraczk housed the famous Eleganto hat factory in its annex.

I promised to share the pictures of my recent visit to Warsaw. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to make an English thread yet, but here you can check out my pictures in the Dutch subforum.

I hope you like them. Your comments are much appreciated.

Restored East Facing Façade of Royal Castle:

thanks Wawrzyniec Senes

The Tin Roof Palace to the left was restored in the last few years as well. The Kubicki designed Royal Arcades at the foot of the palace in foreground took about a decade to restore and now serve as the main entrance to the castle, room for restaurants and exhibitions etc.

The Philharmonic, to some extent a post war building (the structure is largely intact and original from 1901), gets a facelift:

Now (contemporary socialist realist façade). Aside from the corner treatment, the massing and articulation of the building is the same as the pre-war structure.

Pre-war secessionist beaux arts style:

As a nod to the original buildings, the statues of Chopin and Moniuszki were restored and placed where they once stood on the pre-war building in 2001:

The Restoration of Warsaw Uprising Square (pre-war Napoleon Square) or at least it's restoration as a part of the pedestrian realm is underway:
