You are slow. Land Valuation Tax would have stopped it occuring in the first place. It will get us out sharpish as well and keep us out.

Now you know.

Romania, Stimarco is a far more valuable member of this forum than you are. You rarely make sense and the moment anyone points out anything you say is not perfect you react aggressively, calling people 19 and stuff. I think its about time you were banned again, so you can go and annoy another forum for a few months.

Makita09, you lack compehension. It is common on this forum that someone with limted comprehension who does not understand, or how they thought it was was proved not to be, resorts to personal insults, as you just have, and scream troll or ban this one and that one because your mindset has been upset. The world does not go they way you perceive it to be.

Now act your age (is it 19?) and stay on topic and to the points of the thread.

Act your age? Now I have to ask, how old are you? Because you have no comprehension of politics, how much rail schemes cost or how long they take. Believe me, I agree with you that more urban rail needs to be built in our cities but you are being totally unrealistic about it!

You lack the points that they are viabale, however we use a corner shop accounting system based on ticket sales which states otherwise. The yardstick is economic growth. To fund the rapid-transit rail, this growth is looped back into the rail that creates it in the first place. Easy enough. There is a proven economic mechanism to do that by using Land Valuation Taxation. You misguidly think this is political - it is economics.

The other main point is that commuter-rail can have a negative effect on a city. Expanding commuter-rail into a metro solves many of the social problems commuter-rail asisted in creating.

Understand the above points.

and verty apt atbthe time....But you missed off the nonsense I was responding to. I wonder why! Anyhow, this Stimarco fella has an attitude. One of many it appears.

I am not interested talking personal crap with the likes of you. If you can't stick to the thead and its points just don't bother typing. It is easier that way for you.

Oh again the irony. Yes, what went before your replies were extended in depth well-informed dissections of what you were saying. You didn't like that because you had no intelligent answers and this is how you responded.

@Romania1:

I just read your "Post No. 1". It bears a striking similarity to your "Post No. 443": banging on about LVT to a community that has not advertised any particular interest in politics, finance, or economics. (The clue's in the URL right there in your web browser's address bar: "skyscrapercity.com". As opposed to something like "politicscommunity.org", "fatcatsandconsultants.com", or "awesomebankbailouts.net".)

One of the recognised signs of dementia is that of repeating the same action over and over again in the vain hope of getting a different result.

I have read it, it is bollocks. Well formatted bollocks I admit, but bollocks all the same. Not enough references, not enough evidence, far too opinionated. Post 1 is bollocks. Fact.

But you are not a very bright person. Bright people would see the refs and see the points.....and you are too young to know things.

BTW, what are you supposed to lecture at? God help any students in front of you.

I'm beginning to think your a bit of a fool and a bit of a fraud. What happened to post 1 and Harrision. Did you just make it up for a bit of attention?

I hear in Post 2 Harrison proposes digging a canal to Aintree and then make out a power boat racing circuit to rival Silverstone. Retirees on world cruises would then be able to cruise right up and however London nicked all the money for it so it remains but a pipedream.

Controversial I'm sure you will agree.

That is fantastic. I hope this power boat racing comes about. London nicked all the money for sure. Just imagine all the whelks they can buy with all the money they nicked. No wonder they have knees-ups down there all the time -
Knees up Marver Brown
Knees up Marver Brown
Under the table you must go
Ee-aye, Ee-aye, Ee-aye-oh
If I catch you bending
I'll saw your legs right off
Knees up, knees up
Never get the breeze up
Knees up Marver Brown

I think Post No. 511 is the new Post No.1. It makes far more sense don't you think??

BTW- YouR ditty was amazing. Ever thought of going on Britain's got talent audition. Your comedic impression of an idiot is wasted on such a small audience here at SSC. The national loves an idiot and you could be just that idiot the pulls the nation through this troubled time.
