Birmingham, England, the largest branch outside of London.

core-marketing.co.uk

Liverpool:

Ian Hopkinson

They originally had a house style, but these were much smaller stores. Wolverhampton's was extended, but you can just about see the original building on the left.

192.com

Seen here vacant on the left hand side in West Bromwich:

Oldbury63

They also used to be a lot more prolific at the time those were built. They either closed or extended most of these small branches.

For example Leicester, again starts off in the house style:

theigroup.co.uk

But was extended far beyond the original footprint to the extent that its main facade is on a different street and looks like this:

leicesteruk.info

The original penny bazaar that sparked Marks and Spencer so many years ago still exists by the way, in Leeds Kirkgate market.

shopfrontelegy.wordpress.com

Though they of course have a much larger and more relevant store. You can just about make out that this is again in the house style, but given a bit of a special treatment...

I like house styles tbh we don't have that in Saudi Arabia at all wait I think there's Zara but that's about it most of shops here are actually inside a mall a lot of malls exist here in Saudi because of the heat

I find it quite odd that we don't have Marks & Spencer in Australia.

Birmingham, UK is now finished. Largest M&S outside of London. But it looks like a huge, barren factory - ironic given it replaced the MG Rover works.

Birmingham Post

The Birmingham city centre store is nicer.

Birmingham Mail

Birmingham's other Marks and Spencer, this uninspiring one at Fort Dunlop, has just closed.

192.com

There is a further one in Sutton Coldfield (North Birmingham), several "simply food" stores, and then stores in Wolverhampton, Brierley Hill, Solihull, Walsall, and West Bromwich (outlet), which make up Greater Birmingham.
