where are the citizens of the city? i can only see buildings, roads and lights but no people. this city shows us that you can build "a city" with so much money but you can't create "urban culture". i can see people only in the cars, travelling(i suppose that somebody drives) and shopping in the malls. nobody on streets? so my question is that; is dubai a good example of "great urbanization" and "architecture"? and the other question is,can we define a city without people as city?

Not sure where you live but Dubai is a very hot and humid DESERT. After growing up in Florida for 20 yrs.....you learn to keep your ass inside as much as possible.....even at night where the temps MIGHT get down to 80 degrees F with 80% humidity. Dubai can get quite a bit hotter and humid then Florida so i can only imagine what it feels like in Dubai.

well i didn't know that the temperature of dubai is over 40 degree for 7/24, 4 season

the city is "soooo" hot that you can't go outside, even in the evenings, nights or winter? thats so ridiculous.

please dont say "dubai is a good example of urbanization". as a city planner, that opinion disturbs me very much. anyway this is a photo forum, so enjoy the "photos".
