The best I've been to is Portos airport. By far. Very modern, good architecture and small, so very relaxed. And the metro connection for one Euro or so is quite good, too.

Charles de Gaule in Paris France worst place.
Specialy when you need to transfer take a lot of time to go from one terminal to a other one.

I was on terminal 2F and need to go 2E (the new extension for big planes like A380).
On the map it looks close but its not you need 2 hours or more for transfer at this airport.
I was lucky that my luggage get direct to other plane without collect them by the claim
otherwishe i miss the flight.

Security was ok not so long waiting time at all wath most people complain about it.
New build extension is ok only small specialy when 500 people waiting to get onboard the A380.

I was lucky that my flight was not so full so i get quickly onboard (A380).

Good airport is Schiphol fast check in fast security checks.
Also a good airport is JFK Terminal 1 nice small no long walks, you are in few steps at the gate.

Luton is ok to nice modern and small.

Rotterdam Airport is for me the best because its small i don't like far ends of walking and im not so intresst in tax free shops; Security checks also fast and smoot.

Luckily experiences and opinions differ. Just think if everybody agree about everything then the world will be a monotonous place with every airport looking like Baltimore.

Baltimore was not bad when I used it but certainly not top notch. You have to see Singapore, HK or Seoul Incheon to really get a sense of class and finesse that these airports have.

My favourite is Koh Samui in Thailand. Of the large airports Changi is still my #1 due to great service and very user friendly. Most Canadian airports also impress me.
Unfortunately the extremely strict security procedures have made most US airports pretty umpleasant places. Particularly IAD and PHL.

I don't travel internationally that much - but here goes:

Domestically, Cape Town is pretty decent (with the exception of Domestic Arrivals which really needs to be totally renovated). The new Durban airport is a close second (old one was OK, but far too small and cramped). I've never personally liked Johannesburg though.

European airports: Heathrow (1999) and Charles du Galle (2002) are not on my favourites list. Heathrow at the time was benevolent chaos, and CDG was just downright unfriendly. I've also been through Budapest and Vienna, but don't really remember those two that well.

Then over in Australia, I've been through Perth, Melbourne and Sydney - in all cases, the Qantas domestic terminals, as well as the Perth international terminal. (This was back in 2006). Perth seemed to be creaking at the seams, Melbourne and Sydney were both average. Next time I visit the relatives over in that part of the world, I'll probably go via Singapore (the direct flight from Cape Town is very convenient), so maybe then I'll experience an airport that truly impresses me...

I have not been through any US airports, and from what I hear about them, that may be a good thing.

for me I was grilled at Charolette Airport once for taking pics inside the aircraft for which I had taken permission. Thankfully the officers were sensible enough to let me go without much ado.

totally!!!

CDG is the most pax-unfriendly airport ever.

They should at least add 20 moving walkways, it's ridiculous the distance one must walk with luggage from one terminal to another, or from some terminals to RER...

Most people agree Paris is the most beautiful city and it certainly deserves something better.

You're just so anti-Melbourne it's not funny. Any chance to put the place down, you do, guaranteed. Must be a pain walking around with that rather large chip on your shoulder.

Adelaide Intl., best airport? Dream on, sweetpea.
