Torun - the city of Nicolas Copernicus

Torun is a very nice city in northern Poland, its whole old city belongs to UNESCO

He was true Polish (polish mother and father). His name is Mikołaj Kopernik, Copernicus is latin name (also used in other languages). He studied in Poland - at Uniwersytet Jagieloński (Jagieloński University) in Krakow

Kopernik - The man who was the first man to see that the earth is in fact not the center of the solar system, the earth is revolving around the sun. Pretty big deal imo! It's a shame that not more people associate him with Poland. It is time that Poland gets more recognition, especially so that people knows that "Copernicus" (Kopernik) was Polish, Maria Sklodowska Curie was Polish etc etc etc, list can be long. There are many scientist that came from Poland

Torun looks amazing btw Never been there, but seen many pics of it. Really have to go some time in the future
