The development in this town is simply dizzying. There seems no end to new projects!

The question will be when the bubble would pop (or if there's a bubble in the first place), I guess.

The number of new proposals seem too good to be true.

I don't know, I mean there are a ton of people who would like to live in a condo in Toronto. I think the hotel market has overheaded, but the condo market is another question. For example, the One Bloor rumours about increasing the height to accomodate more units is unsurprising.

The question would also be how many of the buyers are simply investors buying multiple units as compared to people actually buying units to live in them. I know this isn't as large a problem as it is in other cities, but it probably still exists.

^ That is a really big problem in Hong Kong. Mainland Chinese investors have been gobbling up so much real estate in the last decade, that prices are ballooning to record levels. Making it near impossible for recent university graduates working at regular jobs to able to afford an apartment.

It's a lot better here in Toronto because of government controls on prices. Such a statistic probably wouldn't be published here but investors buying multiple units has become extremely prevalent in recent years. Many condo sales offices hire agents able to speak Mandarin. Cityplace is investors paradise.

Thank god that ugly bunker will be going. I'm loving this new push eastward of our skyline.

I agree Andrew. East of Yonge is really quite a charming area, just in need of some money.

Are they planning to move the Grey Hound station closer to Union?

This isn't the bus station, it's just the courier centre for packages and shipments. The actual Toronto Bus Terminal is located at Dundas/Bay.

I'm quite happy to see that the trend now is away from all-glass condos. Hallelujah.

Though I would prefer a glass podium. I hate the base on this thing. Glass or red brick to match the area would look better.

Base could be quite beautiful depending on the material used. Limestone would look amazing...

Me too. I wish they could inject a few buildings like this down in City Place and on Bremner. They desperately need a break from all that glass.

This one looks great.

This building is in a great location. I think I may look into this being my first buy. Also my moniter settings were too bright at work, the material on the base looks much better now. I really like the use of all glass walls in the centre.

I'm digging this And I can see the Euro style; it looks quite Dutch to me.

Toronto Square. Should be a name for an architectural style.

Boxy, boring, grey and made out of Concrete.

Hurry Bland Toronto ... home of the world's worst collection of architecture.

Why are Toronto developers afraid of Colour??
