Rebecca Black - Friday
This song appears to be going viral at the moment, so what's your honest opinion of it?
I can't get over how mind-numbingly atrocious it is. I swear, you'd have to be lobotomised to enjoy this. Lyrically, it is almost certainly the worst tune I've ever heard, and there is massive overuse of that "auto tune" effect. The singer herself is just 13. She and her friends are made to look and behave older than they really are - plus you have that creepy rapper in the car. The whole thing just seems... wrong. I mean seriously... WTF.

I find it hard to believe this isn't an elaborate troll by some bored music producers.

Literally couldn't get this out of my head at work yesterday. Horrible. It's weird, crap, pedo, awful.

I find it worrying how people now think they can become famous for doing absolutely nothing and having no real talent.
She almost deserves to be the laughing stock of the world, if only to stop any other pushy parents from trying to exploit their children. ![]() Plus, her idol is Justin Bieber FFS. EDIT: ![]()

I don't like to boast but she was virtually unknown until the Hall of the Wendigo dedicated a thread to her. Since when she's had a further 16 million views. First we sent the Quatro Sisters viral and now Rebecca Black.
![]() Anyway, for those who haven't heard it, Bob Dylan's cover of it.

It was on 20 million views a few days ago and now it's on 30 million! I think the "hype" is being inflated by the record company for their gain, even though all the hype is about how bad it is. No doubt she'll enjoy some success from this before ending up in rehab....

Wonder if the flickering at around 2:08 causes any seizures although listening to it alone is bad enough.

Anyone remember how the Yanks blasted rock music at General 'Pineapple Face' Noriega to wind him up? Apparently this has been cooked up by the CIA to do the same for Ghadaffi.

I see they've gone with the 'throw a black rapper in there too' approach!
Always gets me hooked that one! |

I cannot get this song out of my head. I find myself humming along to it in the library! ARGH! As an internet meme though it's one of my favorites already. Some of the GIFs are hilarious.
