More Surprises:

Some more massive land filling is happening here and there in the Phase III plot. Seems like some of the biggies confirmed their arrival. Can anyone confirmed the below 2 plots as we are already having a list of big shots took space in Phase III?

Plot No: 1

Plot No: 2

Vivek, i think this is the inner link rd inside the 92acre campus. You can just check that with the TPIII master plan.

As you said, this would be the inner link road. But i doubt its connection to the main road as it extends to the southern side and connecting to the Monvila-kulathoor road. So if the inner link road is connecting to a main road, i think it would be the entry to the campus. Not so sure, but if anyone can help, i can update my info...

The stalwarts here may have better info but there is a main entrance to NH Bypass as shown in the original layout shown here (in blue). It says 'Proposed Connection Road' which seems to join the NH Bypass somewhere south to Nippon Toyota.

X-posted from the main Technopark Thread

Quote:
Anamudi and Ponmudi, two mountain peaks in Kerala, will soon become synonymous with the IT development of the state. The two blocks to be commissioned at Technopark phase III site this year are named after these mountain peaks.

“Construction of the two blocks is in the finishing stages and we will start allotting space from October,” said Technopa-rk chief executive officer K.G. Girish Babu. “Already we have received requ-ests for space from several firms, including some leading ones. The names of the firms cannot be disclosed now due to strategic reasons. Space allocation needs to be done carefully so as to utilise the space effectively,” he said.

Being set up at a cost of around Rs 225 crore, the 10 lakh square feet facilities located a few kilometres away from the Technopark main campus will generate nearly 10,000 direct and indirect jobs.

The new buildings are also considered to be Asia’s largest buildings to get Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold rating from the Indian Green Building Council for energy efficiency. “Besides state-of-the-art facilities for IT and ITES, the new facility will also have lots of entertainments options for the techies, including bowling, which is not common in Kerala,” said Technopark senior business development manager M. Vasudevan.

With the commissioning of the third phase, the total area of Technopark, including phase I, II and III, will be 333 acres and the built-up area 7.1 million square feet.

The two buildings have come up on 27.5 acres of the Special Economic Zone in the 92 acres acquired for the third-phase expansion of Technopark. The Technopark authorities plan to allot the remaining land to major players to set up independent campuses.

That 1,000,000 SF of space will be gone in the course of the next few months, I hope that the next building is built at the very earliest.

- Probably the water treatment plant and/or STP under construction on the left of the foreground.

Great to see that Anamudi and Ponmudi have now been almost completely cladded.

Technopark has proposed starting construction on the next set in Phase III and/or in the 50 acres allotted to it in Technocity. Unfortunately, it seems that the Government has little interest in building space where it's actually needed.

Just a small correction suggested to the above, It should be read as the present government instead of only government.

The present Govt is not interested in any construction any where.. they are interested only in religion/caste discussion only.

Kerala Technopark phase III nears completion

The state of the art twin tower of one million sq. ft built up area, the third phase of Technopark, is nearly ready for inauguration.

The twin towers have been named Aanamudi and Ponmudi, after two mountain peaks in the state.

Allotment of space has begun, and 40 companies have taken up space in the new facility.

Some of the prominent firms that will be operating from the new tower are HCL, Oracle and CapGemini.

One floor in the two towers, which are spread across 92 acres within the Special Economic Zone, is being readied as a Smart Business Centre, at a cost of Rs.3 crore. It would be equipped with ready to use office facilities.

The new facility also has an exclusive bowling alley, an incubation centre, a conference hall, a bank, an ATM, a cafeteria, a gym, a swimming pool, shopping malls and food courts.

"Technopark phase III was undertaken with an investment of Rs.292 crore and is expected to create about 40,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The new buildings are also considered to be Asia's largest buildings to get Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold rating from the Indian Green Building Council for energy efficiency," said Technopark CEO K.G. Girish Babu.

Technopark senior business development manager M. Vasudevan said that enquiries have been flowing in from ITES firms, and there is overwhelming demand for office space in the area.

"With the commissioning of the third phase, the total area of Technopark will be 333 acres, with a total built?up area 7.1 million square feet," Vasudevan said.

Technopark has more than 270 companies providing direct employment to more than 37,000 IT/ITES professionals and 150,000 people indirectly.
