Glad to know that Panama City will get another metro route from Nuevo Tocumen to San Miguelito (where it will merge with line 1) in future. I personally think that line 2 will be better in term of places servicing.

I heard the entire line will be elevated, is it true? If yes, will it use overhead rail like line 1? Or overhead wire? Or 3rd rail. Please write some details.

When will be the northern extension towards San Isidro opened?

The initial technical and financial co-operation agreement was signed on January 14. The US$2·6bn deal would enable the construction of what Panama says will be the first monorail in the Americas to use Japanese technology

Hello Ashis

Yes, the L2 will be fully elevated and overhead rail like L1.

It's a short tram line connecting the Casco Antiguo (old town) of Panama to "5 de mayo" station on the red line (Line 1).
