I knew it wouldn't take Suleyman Kerimov long before he invested in a new stadium.

Makhachkala is planning to host 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. In this case the stadium will host Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Suleyman Kerimov want to invest 1 billion $ in YOG (450 mln $ for "FC Anzhi" stadium with 42,000 seats), to build 100 football pitches in republic, football academy, 2 training bases, hotels, etc.

The moderator in question would have been Mo Rush - a South African - and he would only have closed the thread for good reasons. EDIT: I've just had a quick search and the thread isn't closed at all. What are you talking about? Are you just trying to stir up trouble? For those who are interested, here it is: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...270179&page=45 |

Hi mate, how are you? Did Mo Rush is not Anglo-Saxon? If the moderator was a "Ivan Petrov" from Latvia or "Alex Ivanov" from Belarus, they would have closed the British theme, then you would have written about the KGB, Russian mafia, etc. Double standards. |

Mo Rush is South African. Yes, it's possible that his ancestry is British. But it's also possible that his ancestry is African. Or Dutch. Or Indian. I wouldn't know. I've never met him in person. Have you? More to the point, as I said in my original post, the Russia 2018 thread isn't closed at all. It's just that no one was posting in it so it had slipped off the first page. So what are you whining about? Enough of your risible conspiracy theories. And by the way......no, I would never resort to cheap shots about the KGB or Russian mafia - because they are irrelevant to this forum and because I'm not a child. I have nothing against Russia. I have no problem with Russia winning the bid for the 2018 World Cup. As I said at the time of the decision, it was a well deserved victory for the Russian bid team and I'm sure that your country will stage a great tournament. Certainly, the new stadiums look very impressive. As I recall, the only point of disagreement I ever had with a few Russian posters on the original 2018 Bids thread was their perpetual (and ignorant) spamming of the thread with political diatribe about the UK and, especially, the British media. So please....pretty please, with sugar on top....grow up. Enough of the preposterous persecution complex. Just be happy that you will get to see your country host the World Cup in your lifetime. It's a privilege that comparatively few people will ever experience. |

The project will have a title - "Anzhi-City".
It will be situated at the edge of Makhachkala (information about exact place will be later). There will be hotels, residential areas, leisure park with cinemas and other entertainment for the whole family. Citizens will also be allowed to travel there on water transport. Of course, main object in "Anzhi-City" will be a new stadium with all necessary football infrastructure (fields, multi-purpose complexes, etc.) and new official training base for a club. There will also be a training base for youth football academy there.
