More photos from my second-favorite Canadian city...

Some streets and squares

Architectural details and facades...

Now let's have a closer look at the PRICE building. This art deco beauty is my favorite modern building in the city. Maybe one day somebody will let them visit their office up there. That must be an amazing view!

finally, let's look at the Québec National Assembly, in the upper city

More later!

Been there, loved it!

Allthough that gorgeous Edifice Price building is the only nice office building in the city. The old town is fantatstic.

Nice updates!

Let's leave the old city for a bit and check out some things beyond the city walls...

The St. Roch area has become a trendy, cool area to hang around. It's still very close to the old centre.

And now back down into the old town...

Great Photos. I have long known about the fabulous Chateau Frontenac but never really though about the city apart from the fact I noticed it looked very interesting in an old Hitchcock movie (I Confess) I saw on T.V.
Seeing these photos it's obvious that the city was saved from the ravages of the 60's and 70's and as a result must possibly be the most beautiful in North America.
Now I've decided I must make a visit. - Thanks.

220 years ago, it was one of non Spanish America's largest cities so its built form was already quite substantial. It's true that QC was spared the worst of 60s/70s renewal, but it did suffer some.

6 Largest (non Spanish) Cities in America in 1790

1. New York, New York 33,131
2. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 28,522
3. Boston, Massachusetts 18,320
4. Montreal, Quebec 18,000
5. Charleston, South Carolina 16,359
6. Quebec City, Quebec 14,000
