It shouldn't be that long. Excavation is ongoing, all the necessary paperwork have been filed and most importantly, it's financed.

This is almost like the male to the female 30 park place, could even say the Prince and Princess to the King that is the Empire State.

All very New York.

Very classy and classic design on this one. I love the sleek lines and thinness, which should give it a great presence on the New York skyline. Stern has designed an even more Art Deco-ey one (1 St. Thomas) albeit more square, in Toronto.

No time wasting with this project. 220 CPS is furiously trying to catch up with 111 W 57th in a race to go vertical. lol.

Where are you Nordstrom??

Application for New Building is Partially approved as of today!http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/Jo...92&requestid=9

220 CPS is actually ahead of 111 w57 in terms of excavation. Actually Nordstrom is ahead of the pack, I walked by last week end and that hole is DEEP.
The one thing Nordstrom doesn't have that the other " mean towers threatening Central Park" have is financing.
Even more weird is that Tower Verre was the first of those towers to be financed but it won't see any activity till the summer, that's Real Estate for you.

You got me excited there Robert
But yeeeh those diagrams still only show the height of the tallest occupied floor... Ot could still be over 300m... But I'm not sure when we'll find that out...

I believe that's the envelope based on the FAR ratio. So a crown may go higher but the floors won't.

Sure looks like it from that render, no? And 950 ft. is very high in any event.

The way it looks in the render is soaring considerably higher than the Columbus Circle Towers (which impressive as they are at something like 750 ft each were shrunk 200 ft from the original plan by the whiny neighborhood groups)... may only intended to be around 950 ft but the depiction looks like it's well over 1,000 ft. No matter what it will still be a gorgeous sight in the new Central Park chic tower row.
