Must be a lot of work to make one steel pillar like this.

Is this the core we're seeing here? If so this tower will be really slim.

With the core a few floors above street and columns not far behind, barring any unforeseen issues this thing will shoot up like a weed from now on. Almost 1000 feet of limestone will be something to see.

Can you (or someone) please explain the overhanging (cantilevered) wood on top of the core form? Is it a platform for the workers? Part of the form itself? Is there more to it that I just can't see yet? What's the deal?

It is very slim.

Too bad it's 10 meters short of being a supertall...

Man, I love this building. I know nothing about architecture but I know what looks good. Gorgeous.

Yeah it seems like the progress photos have really slowed down recently. Patiently waiting for an update.

New rendering and project updates

Full article on NyCurbed

Full article on New York Yimby

Not much has changed, but I don't know why Central Parc Tower look so different in this rendering.

The "Villa" located on Central Park South will be 17 stories high and features 10 appartments starting at 30M $.

Beat me to it. I love this, not so much for the confirmation of the design (I was hoping to see a little more refinement of the crown, otherwise it's still a stellar design overall) but for the absolute absurdity of that mini version of the Nordstrom tower.

Clearly they don't want to be overshadowed... but they honestly might as well just not show the other tower at all. They already did that very thing in these earlier renders with the downtown views they'll never have:

Update:
A couple commenters on YIMBY have stated today's post is actually a very old render, possibly 2 years old. Not sure where they're getting that information from, as I certainly haven't seen it before, but it would help explain the bizarrely shortened and misshapen 225 W. 57th.

I am not sure but I think 217 should be farther east off the cantilever. Maybe another clue to the reliability in the render.
