NEW taipa shopping centre approximately 650,000 square

Nova City is a large scale residential and retail development in Taipa, with the Group holding
100% of its development rights. Phase 4 of Nova City comprises three residential towers
featuring over 680,000 square feet of gross floor area. Commencement of foundation works
are scheduled for the 2nd quarter of 2011. Phase 5 encompasses over 2.3 million square
feet of well-appointed residences in eight towers. Below the apartment units will be a
neighborhood shopping centre spanning approximately 650,000 square feet to provide
unparalleled convenience to residents.

Its even bigger than the one central mall at 400,000 sqf, I guess this will give a boost to Taipa property and particularly Nova City and surrounding buildings.

That One Central Mall is a joke to a majority of the Macau Residents, cause it's all designer brand goods, which is totally out of reach for most of the Macau Residents, it only benefits the High Rollers from the Mainland, since it costs less to buy designer brands there than back home, which is a massive fortune, due to the taxes that the government imposes on these luxury goods in the Mainland.

I hope that there would be at least one Shopping Centre in Macau as a whole, that will cater to the needs of the local residents, not to the high rollers.

PS. One Central Mall is a lot like The Landmark in the Central District.

There are the The Venetian Shopping Aracades, which for sure also have lots of luxury brands, but also several lower priced and still good quality shops for clothing and electronic equipment.

Actually especially in regards of shopping I prefer the walking streets that are close to the Lisboa area with numerous little independet stores serving to the student and youth crowds.
