[Santiago, Chile] Different sides, different spaces

Hi everbody. It's Pablo again. This time around, I'll share with you some pictures I took during September and November, 2010.

As usual, I'll put a caption on the bottom explaining some stuff. Let's get started!

1.- Torre Entel is the name of a 127.4 meter high TV and telecommunications tower in Santiago, Chile. Torre Entel has an observation deck open for visitors. Construction began in 1970 during Eduardo Frei Montalva term as governor and it was inaugurated in 1974. In 1976 it carried its first television transmissions. For many years it was the tallest building in Chile and today remains a symbol of Santiago. The tower is constructed of concrete, steel, and aluminum. (Cited from Wikipedia)

2.- Palacio de La Moneda (Spanish: [paˈlasjo e la moˈnea], Mint Palace), or simply La Moneda, is the seat of the President of the Republic of Chile. It also houses the offices of three cabinet ministers: Interior, General Secretariat of the Presidency and General Secretariat of the Government. It occupies an entire block in downtown Santiago, in the area known as Civic District. (Cited from Wikipedia)

7.- Torre Gran Costanera in the Central Business District in Providencia, Santiago. It's an ongoing development that started in 2006 but during the economic recession of the late 2000's it was put on hold. It resumed construction in 2009. When completed, will be the tallest building in LatinAmerica and the second one in the Southern Hemisphere.

8.- WTC complex in Santiago. (Right between Providencia and Las Condes area). The WTC Santiago houses several company offices (Compa˝ias Cerveceras Unidas, the largest alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage producer in Chile, being one of them) and a 5 star Hotel.

This will be all by now. Should I post more pics?
