WALKING TOUR OF SYDNEY - PADDINGTON

I had the good fortune of spending the last 2 weeks visiting Sydney, and decided to take a walk around some of the city most interesting neighborhoods.

First up is Paddington. Located 3 KM east of the CBD, it is best known for its terrace houses with wrough iron lace balconies and leafy streets. Its a great place for daytime stroll, and has some great coffee shops and pubs.

Lovely neighborhood. I could live there.
Thank you for showing it to us.

Fantastic tour Kirribilli, I am a big fan of the neighborhood ... Do you know if they have any plans to place the power lines etc. Underground ?

Great stuff! I'm actually planning to visit down under in the near future. Japan was up next, but I guess it will probably be Australia or New Zealand!
Just a suggestion, if I may. You might want to post all your walking tours in the same thread as opposed to a separate threat for each one.

Followers can then subscribe to just one, and everything will be kept in the same place. You risk ending up with a bunch of short threads constantly buried below a bunch of longer, constantly updating ones!

Not sure if there are any plans in the future, but the area around Five Ways had the power line's removed several years ago.
If you look at the photo of Five Ways below, you can see that the power lines are no longer outside the Pub.

Thanks for the suggestion aljuarez. I was thinking of doing this, however I ended up taking over 2000 photos, and I don't think they would all fit in one thread.

Another cool thread. I really love the diverse housing stock in the section. The row houses are great. I also like how everything is very dense yet people have taken the time to shove plants everywhere they can find. It great to see so much greenery.

Looks good! The narrow streets are a bit of a surprise, although I don't know what would be normal anyway.

Those streets were created long before cars were around...

Fox....I've taken a tour around Surry Hills, which takes in some of the side streets off Bourke. You can view it here http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1401044
