Kinda nice to know we are surrounded by friends with similar cultures and historical heritages, huh?

I'm so looking forward to the days when Thailand, Cambodia, Lao, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc. are all closely connected like countries in EU and grow together to a better future. No VISA, no papers, good network of roads and rails everywhere, etc. What a great boost for tourism and economy that must be for the region.

How about Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar! There are a lot of intermarriages between Lao, Thai, and Khmer! I think Malaysia and Vietnam are alien to us!

Every country has its fair share of idiots and irrational short-sighted ultra nationalistic people. I just have faith that at the end of the day, reasons will prevail. It's always better to live with your neighbors as friends, talking to each other, helping each other and develop together.
