I think the idea is quite nice, but there's something that makes me feel uncomfortable about it... Maybe because I feel the columns in the old facade look too big, or maybe because of the strong contrast between the stone color and the white of the roof. The interiors are simply wonderful though.

Maybe if the white stripes were made of stainless steel, or even for a more cutting edge - futurism if they were made of mirrors instead, it would have looked a little better.

Disappointing the circular windows appear to be a screen in front of the real facade with no relationship to the actual window positions. Seems like a missed opportunity to use them as the real facade which would create a really unique experience from inside

Interesting geometry. I bet sorting that out was a pain in the ass.

Yeah. For every drawing an architect makes by hand, with flowing curves in every direction and/or plane, some poor engineer will have to sit and try to calculate the volume and weight of it. And specify exact amounts of materials used, assess reflectivity, water run-off, load capacity, acoustic properties, wind loads, snow loads, and finally make assembly drawings that make sense to the people who are supposed to build the damn thing. Sure it looks nice and makes for a nice portfolio, but it's a magnitude more hassle than just sticking to squares, or at least coplanar surfaces.

Are architects not in charge of sorting the structures, quantifying materials and calculating the properties of their designs in Europe? I am currently in my second year of architecture in Guatemala and they are teaching us how to do all of that.

Nørreport Station, Copenhagen. A recently renovated trasportation hub that has undergone changes to combine its main fucntion as a busy spot with some neat public space. They say the place went from being crammed to more open and cozy kind.

Pretty, eh? Although not that perfect, certain type of light and angle can expose the flaws:

A large scale version of those organic white concrete houses from the 60s and 70s.

How is that supposed to represent the war victims? Not even trying to troll, I'm genuinely curious. I also don't like that it disrupts the view of all those traditional houses.
