Niazi Interchange & Lahore Ring Road Pictures

The Niazi interchange /Clover is complete and looks fantastic. Work is going on both sides of the Ring Road i.e. towards Mehmood booti and yateem khana.

It is part of the ring road and one of the mega interchange of Ring road, basically a signal free interchange for everyone, e.g. traffic entering or leaving lahore. Overhead bridge is ring Road.

last time i saw it was 1 month ago, infront of the airport, they are making a really really wide road, ive never seen such a wide road before. atleast 20 lanes can fit on that road i think, but the downside was that i have seen it about 3/4 times in the last 2 months and not once did i see any worker on site, but i can say the road is over 60% complete

Also, can explain to me how bad the new LRR design is, compared to the old one?

This project is a joke, why don't they connect the ring road with the Lahore Byass and then continue around the southern suburbs of Lahore, instead of going through places like Kalma Chowk?

This is ridiculous, your bringing MORE traffic into the city! The point of a ring road is somewhat like a bypass, to keep outsider traffic outside the city, and to for the city people to have easy access to any corner of the city.

I've seen the ring road portion infront of the airport it looks good last time I saw it (2 months ago) they were widening the Southbound lanes.

The plan looks ok, but that portion running through South Lahore looks stupid and insane, though should just follow the Lahore Bypass to Thokar Niaz Baig and then continue around the city.

I agree with u. Thats the most logical route. But logic has eluded our politicians and planners so far.

I dont think LRR is $1bil, its more like Rs. 35bil. Still LRR is huge, its supposed to encircle whole of lahore. This road can definitely not be that long.
